Gold-filled jewelry has a thick layer of gold bonded to a base metal such as brass or copper. It contains at least 5% gold by volume. Unlike gold-plated jewelry, it will not wear or tarnish and is suitable for everyday use. With proper care, your pieces will last anywhere from 10 to 30 years!
